The context is that “Flechette”, an affectionate ballistics label for an arrowhead (opposite side of the fletchings, literally meaning “little dart”), references the character’s ability as an archer so well as their cause of death from being shot in the heart. It also contrasts their title granted by their haters, “Red Drake”, since it sounds far less intimidating.

“Flambeau” means flaming torch, basically. It’s meant to convey the first impression of potent, vibrant energy, but its double meaning is evocative of being a tool since the character’s patron is exploiting their actions. Called the weapon, rather than its wielder.

“Speedball” conveys the impression of manic enthusiasm, which is perfectly characteristic, but is also the word used for a punching ball since they’re a dummy for punishment without any adverse effects.

“Hermit” isn’t the greatest title, I was originally looking at Non Grata but dropped it for being a mouthful, since they’d been rejected by everyone they’d known in life. Nonetheless, the feeling of weariness or age that comes with being a hermit is definitely present in the character.
