also NYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I need to unpolarize myself and push confident agenda as town

i think you’re projecting. you know. cause-

(…probably)

Atlas I think you are just unempathic

Lot of hunters also glorify the military which kills human beings. I suppose you could say they also just “don’t think about that” and to an extent that’s true but they have also kinda thought about it and don’t care

not generally? what specific thing am i unempathetic about.

nyaaaaaaaaaaaa I logically go “hmmmmmmmmm IDK if I can morally justify not being vegan” however nyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
so I’d imagine it could be similar to that maybe?

the difference is that going vegan would vastly change your life and doesn’t make much change individually. it’s not like less animals will die, it’s just that more animal products will be thrown away or not eaten

If I went vegan I would probably die with how little I eat to begin with

that’s why i didnt mention underpaid factory workers who have to support their family or whatever

Most people don’t worry about killing bugs, they don’t take bug death into account as a moral bad at all. I think most sport hunters also just place their watermark differently

There was a comedy sketch of a guy going to heaven and god being revealed to be a bug. He was like “dude you killed 2000 bugs? How did you even manage to do that? We may have accepted you if it was like 200”

but why don’t they care about killing anything to begin with
don’t bugs still feel some emotion

Emotion feels like a weird standard… I’d go for willpower, I suppose, ← Stopped tpying when I realised I’m a self-caricature

Would you guys let me eat you if I was starving

depends on the situation

I mean
this is true on some scale, but also if a sufficient number of people are vegan, less animal products will be produced
and there has to be some tipping point, and there is a (small) chance of being at the tipping point which would make a large difference

Am I also starving? If your quality of life after eating me would be substantially worse than my qualify of life after being eaten (permanent damage from hunger, trauma, prion diseases) then no. If we’re both starving and it’s a symmetrical situation I might be open to it

i can’t really explain this in a less pedantic way that isn’t just a weighting of reward vs effect

though like
emotionally I’m at “I don’t feel emotionally bad at the fact that hunters kill animals for sport or that animals are killed for food/products”, though there’s a chance I wouldn’t feel good if I were actually hunting them

I sometimes care about animal suffering and sometimes don’t. It’s not a very codified part of my person
