this idea developed seperately but there was a more “do whatever the fuck” style thing i saw when i was stalking the hypixel forums at like 11 literally juts called kill the boss
in which the host made a boss, gave them an hp value, and then people attacked them using literally anything they can think of, with the only restriction being that you can’t repeat the same attack twice (and creativity is rewarded, of course) and then the host interprets that into an attack and a damage value n shit
for example, if the boss is Darth Vader, the first player (being an uncreative dummy) uses a nuke on them
i, the host, do not think this is particularly creative, so i have darth vader use The Force on the nuke to redirect it to mars, but the nuclear dust from mars gets in his mask and he takes 50/1000 damage
the second player (being slightly more creative) summons obi-wan to duel darth vader.
i, a knower of how a new hope actually plays out, decide that obi-wan gets some good hits in but eventually just dissapears into his cloak for no reason, and darth vader takes 250 damage, putting him at 700 hp

One of my favorite things about this is the fact that we dont discuss things beforehand and design blindly. It will be so fun to see what everyone will bring to the table
