amne is an outsider per djinn rule of “this is not my beautiful house”
Ok now that makes sense.
My new favorite interaction. Telling a poisoned recluse someone is the king
Also my new favorite math interaction! Math 1!
a poisoned recluse can’t- you know what we’re so far past the bounds of good sense. fucking whatever. make them a magician too
you absolutely can. you can tell a poisoned player whatever makes them think their ability is working correctly.
their ability is working correctly as far as rbey know as they registered as the demon
you can, by this logic, tell a poisoned legion someone is the damsel too
wait no
Depends on NO
yeah doesn’t work, fecluse works since king is a constantly check “did this plauer rehister as the demon to this ability”
litten I think there is something wrong with you
No. They have a mechanical ability smh
Unfortunately no, this is a completely legal ruling
Is it utterly absurd? Yes. But legal, it is
Hm, fair enough.
I thought if you had a mechanical ability it cannot function full stop.
Which would mean the Recluse wouldn’t be able to register as evil and as a minion/demon - in this case being the demon to get info the demon would get
That’s absurd though, I do agree lmao
It isn’t functioning. You only think it is. Lying to a player that they are cero mad when they cero mad themselves despite being poisoned, is the correct way to treat the player as you treat poiosned people as though they have an ability. They aren’t Cero Mad. You telling them they are has no mechanical impact on the game.
In this case, the recluse has no ability, yet they think they have the ability to register as the demon. Thus, you could tell a poisoned recluse a fake king - because to them, it would be as though their ability is workint correcrlt “ah, I registered as the demon to the king”
I think this is the only interaction where a posioned recluse can tick up math
The original demon is a Pukka who was barista’d to act twice. They poiosn two townafolk, and kill a townsfolk. Then, the alch Boffin (with tinker ability given) kills the pukka, who has the PD ability, which you give the sw ability to the recluse. Since a sw is also already in play, you have two demons, which you prompt kill with tinker and pass it along. The game is over night one, in a perfectly legal way with around six or seven deaths. Oh yeah, the pukka n1 kill? Grandmother child.
We did some calculations in rules discussion about how many people can legally die night one in a way that ends the game (barring legion). In a 15+2 player game:
Traveler
1 Barista
1 Apprentice Philosopher
Evil
1 Pukka
1 Scarlet Women
1 Boffin
1 Random Minion
Good
Recluse
Philosopher
Grandmother
Alchemist Boffin
7 other random Townsfolk/Outsiders
The Tinker cannot be in play, because The Alchemist Boffin must give one (alive) demon the tinker ability at all times. The Boffin gives one (alive) demon the plague doctor ability. Night one, the traveler Barista’s the Pukka to act twice, who poisons a grandchild and kills them after poisoning another townsfolk (2 deaths, 1 grandmother 1 grandchild). The Philosopher chooses the tinker, who dies straight away (3 deaths). The Pukka dies due to the tinker ability (4 deaths) and the Plague Doctor ability gives the recluse the scarlet woman ability, who catches the demon hood at the same time as the actual scarlet woman. Because Boffin/Alchemist can only give one alive demon an ability at a time, we give tinker and plague doctor to the recluse, kill them (5), kill the scarlet woman (6) and pass it off to random minion and kill them (7), then finally, the boffin becomes the demon and dies to tinker (8). The Apprentice Philosopher chooses the tinker and dies (9.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve upon more than nine people dying night one in ways that don’t involve legion or atheist I would love to hear it.
We could add in apprentince tinker
