since iirc the order is arbitrary anyways you could probably just throw the evils together anyways and have the good minions go through conditional trees because its an edge case
it wouldnt work on other scripts but on this one there’s no real way for any evils to not know the other evils
alternatively you just dont think about it because why would the Pit-Hag do this
if there’s one thing ive learned by storytelling, it is: Do not dare the pit hag not to do something
surely they wouldnt create a Minion on a script I would actually put an Alchemist on right
right
(well, not actually, alch doesnt fit, but you get the point i hope)
looking at the final grim with a Good Godfather that confirmed all the Outsiders
i would agree with you if there weren’t good minions that were arguably situational or not negative utility (i.e. boffin, harpy, evil twin)
alchemist boffin is great here you can give the demon uh uh
tinker
yeahhhhh
hello snowe!!!
the upside of alch boffin is that you know one out of play character
which is
not, in fact, a very strong upside
this script is in fact intentionally created to have as many characters as possible that are not zero utility for evil, even before boffin was released which is funny—it was done that so a mez-turn has something to do but now mez is off the script
i cant even argue for alch boffin damsel because there isn’t a recluse on script to damsel guess them
it’s jinxed to not tell the alchemist the character because learning out-of-play character that the demon might get tricked or forced into bluffing can just suck
the intended usecase is negative utility ability
that being said id argue good harpy is actually fairly strong if good like, uses it for what it is
alch harpy is strong because the ST will good-side the harpy kills and enforce madness thats beneficial for town, because the alchemist is a townsfolk
good harpy is strictly zero utility if the ST doesn’t harpy kill ever and can be neg utility if the ST exclusively evil-sides the harpy kills
Well there’s my planned BoTF, which is base 3.
That’s nowhere near as bad as this scenario.
The Alchemist Godfather is turned evil by the Bounty Hunter.
I think there’s design space for a Pope / Evil Twin script where there might be player incentive for the twins to claim different roles, in turn rendering some of the worse combos to be more applicable in certain scenarios.
Pope just looks like a funny thing to try once with an in-game group witg a few meme setups but otherwise wont really be used. Just makes botc slightly worse lol
