your character is a tea person who isn’t really at the heart of events (not in the blackrose/seigneur families nor in a specific friend group that contains the cultists) but
they live alone and invite people over for tea
and once tried to kill a cultist with poison

cecilia blackrose is the niece of frederic blackrose who is the v wealthy governor of said town and received the order from the king to eliminate the cultists
aliena is the older sibling (and enby) and follows frederic’s side out of a sense of obligation to the blackrose family
cecilia on the other hand hates that kind of philosophy
and lands in significant trouble winding up as an accomplice to the murder of rowland seigneur

frederic is the current head of that family

camelia videnzne is a bit of a weird one
she’s orphaned, lives in the blackrose manor, and can see the future but tells nobody about it
she (as one of the few characters that do canonically die) is killed by phebe desmalin after anonymously inviting her at midnight to an abandoned castle courtyrd and challenging her in sword-to-sword combat to try to stop her from sacrificing herself later to drag the blackrose family down with her

rowland seigneur (kiiruma) was frederic’s tactician and right hand man, basically
after his murder, his children (orlando and oliver, the characters of daeron and abby) went to live in an abandoned house in the woods because
oliver killed rowland

the demon-like form that the cultists generally took is canonically a manifestation of guilt
and oliver was the only loyal character with that form

Cecilia’s about whether or how much she’s at fault for Rowland’s death
Orlando’s about not fighting to stop his brother from making a decision that ruined his life
Phebe’s about whether or not she really killed Camelia
Renee’s about letting herself be pushed around by the Blackrose family for money

so i thought it was a really nice touch to change Aliena’s rolecard picture to that form when she got pit hagged into the mutant, even if i dont have a canonical explanation for it

anyways regardless of pronouns a decent amount of the characters being non-gender-conforming was intentional
renee canonically mtf trans, frederic canonically ftm trans, aliena + emil are enby (one afab, other amab), both seigneur children (oliver/orlando) dont present particularly masculine, phebe doesn’t present particularly feminine etc.
