Wow! The day is over! Completely! Awesome! Cool! Our mainhost is very good at writing flavour!

@Magnus has been executed!

Night 4 begins and will end 2025-05-18T20:00:00Z. Please get your actions in as soon as possibe.

…wait, what’s this? I’m getting a call.

On Day 1, Mistyx, your High Priestess, was directed to speak to Magnus. As a Shugenja’s information had pointed toward Mistyx and away from Magnus, something Magnus would in all likelihood be told and share, as it cleared them, ae needed to resolve Magnus’s alignment to untangle the information.

There were three potential conclusions that could be drawn from Mistyx attempting to untangle this Shugenja information:

  • The information was correct, directing Mistyx to suspect Kiiruma, the next player in the Shugenja’s direction, who was the Spy
  • The information was incorrect, directing Mistyx to correctly suspect that Zugzwang was the Marionette, and thus suspect Magnus, the player “cleared” by the Shugenja information, our Pukka, as the Demon
  • The information was never received at all, and Zugzwang, our Marionette was evil

In addition, our Demon, Magnus, expressed that they disliked their bluffs and were considering trying to claim off of it – initially intending to claim to be the Virgin, but changing their course once Chomps instantly claimed that role. Speaking to Magnus and forcing them to claim early on would prevent them from having the flexibility to back into a role off of the bluffs (Soldier, Knight, and Alsaahir), such as the Undertaker claim they moved back and forth between.

As there was an evil Traveller in play, Magnus would also potentially have the opportunity to work around the Magician, Kyubey, and contact the Spy, which would give them the freedom to bluff whatever they liked – speaking to them early on Day 1 would prevent this from happening

Finally, Mistyx is a player who is very much capable of making social reads, and being directed to speak to a Demon would likely be of value regardless of mechanics, as Magnus was the player who it was most valuable for her to focus on reading

Hippo, the Empath with a 0 was adjacent to the Magician, who would likely be trying to bait evils and lead Hippo to doubt his information, and Mistyx had no real way to “clear herself” to him to create a “confirmation chain”, and IMO trying to create such chains is not a fun way to run High Priestess - talking to him wasn’t especially valuable, he was going to share his information anyway.

Hazardwaste, the Juggler, was Pukka poisoned and going to die regardless. Chomps, the Virgin, was always going to immediately claim. Silviu, the Mathematician, was always going to share their information anyway. Jarek, the Ravenkeeper, would mislead her away from a Pukka game. Magnus was clearly the best candidate to be spoken to.
