If Kyubey was really washerwoman they would trigger virgin = good and i’d more easily get a new neighbour if traveller left = good. If kyubey is evil and refuses/doesn’t die, I learn I am drunk or poisoned = good.

I feel like we’re falling into a trap of circular reasoning. You sought to eliminate Kyubey nigh immediately as proven by (#66) the contents of your whisper with Zug about paranoia letting him rule the game, so you were on edge and lied promptly in your shared whisper, and tunnelled the Washerwoman claim as a seemingly-blatant falsehood. You were suspicious of both, so you expressed contentment with having either nominate Chomps. This is a theoretically sustainable motivation. Not that you can’t have player agency, I just don’t think it’s the single likeliest course of action for you to take. You changed tracks to an unlikely target after suspecting you were Kyubey’s Marionette because you panicked, and you didn’t request consolation in your neighbour whispers. You claimed to Silviu (and probably Mistyx I guess) before Kyubey. You tried mitigating the sincerity of your intent to have Kyubey executed today (#1125). I’m dismissive because it just feels lacklustre, but debating this over isn’t going to lead to an outlet I think.

I find u a bit less sus since i spoke to silviu but basically at time

1. thought ur reaction to hp ping was a bit random and u didnt go “that makes sense with me”
2. u specifically said kyubey might be spy. I had empath 0 on them and most likely evil they were is spy fmpov so i was like wow how is zug pitching by far the most likely evil role kyubeey could be to me? Crazy coincedence - unless ur the spy and know that i have empath 0 on them so have to pitch them as spy!!!
3. u claimed a role then said “ooh i might nom virgin in thread” and if u were really that role then you wouldn’t want to nom virgin so it felt very performative at time and a misstep (at the time)

haven’t fully read up but barring new info I think it’s probably optimal to have someone nominate Chomps today, because otherwise they’ll die at night and we can never use the confirmation

if @Magnus or someone else would like to nominate Chomps I’ll let them do that, otherwise I’ll be doing that
I think it makes sense to plan juggles/alsaahir guesses around the worst case scenario as well thtbthbthtbhtbthbthb (also if I nom Chomps and nothing happens I think I’d be a good waitress pick as well thtbhtbthbthtbhtb)

most of Hippo’s push on Kyubey was also after this post, where I voice intent to nominate Chomps

I completely agree that the whole “lol lets policy kyubey so they dont snow us” is incredibly annoying for you and there is a town logic for you to oppose it both out of overall principle and game mech reasons. I also think it’s a bit cringe to force someone to nominate the virgin as player agency is important - and tbh when I first suggested it was partly just a shitpost.

HOWEVER since then I really didn’t like our conversation which doesn’t line up with your in thread actions and socially in thread you just haven’t read as good to me - especially when you post a readslist like this which is just bizarre except maybe hazard but that was kinda a random push from me anyway. Have no clue how you could be interested in pushing me today tbh.

so I should check if I otherwise said things about planning to nom chomps before this

since I’m realizing most people don’t seem to value confirmation as much as I do

specifically it seems like consensus is that there’s a wider range of characters that would make a strong player who’d benefit from confirmation choose not to nominate a virgin than I felt

my view is that, as a strong/active player, getting confirmed is very helpful, especially in a 3 evil game
it gives you way more info to solve with and way more influence to push town agenda

this is also why I find it tempting to nominate Chomps and I’ll be doing so if no one else wants to (though thtbthbthtbthbthbt some of me is going “yeah but the worst case scenario is chomps or me is drunk and w!Litten powerwolfs me out of all discussions and it sucks and town loses badly”)

I’d strictly request nobody nominated Chomps prematurely regardless of the fact. We might have any assorted list of players (note: two precisely) concerned with utilising D1 abilities to their benefit ahead of time. Thanks in advance.
