I’m parsing the original quote as effectively saying “I don’t have to be evil to appreciate my life and role in any given game, unusual as that is”, which doesn’t quite match Kyubey’s demeanour thus far. It doesn’t really feel like he’s enjoying the limelight.

On the contrary, expressing a blasé attitude towards the art of bluffing characters may result in other players seeing your information as pointless to gather anyway; although I don’t personally see it that way, so long as it’s not just misleading for no good reason. Some might argue it’s vital to sprinkle enough truth so that nobody has a reason to execute you, although this does typically just result in the weakest debaters dying D1 an unfair degree more often than others. Hmm.

I haven’t asked if the hosts actually run it so, but it’s popular wisdom that the Demon can be told that a neighbouring Magician is the Marionette. Theoretically the Demon can also be lied to about Cerenovus-madness if there’s a Magician in play, although it’s very much “don’t”.
In any case, that option could be there if you were Kyubey’s Marionette, insofar as justifying a reason to bait your claim without just claiming Demon outright.

i think u should be happy. last game i neighbour whispered chariot saying they were my marionette but they didnt know what it meant and then i sent the wiki link to marionette and then they got scared and thought i was sending phishing links

It’s still a good idea to write down claims! It’s not as though everyone lies, it’s usually the same few cluster of names doing so; and even then, a truthful claim carried to the end might dissuade the possibility of that player being a Minion specifically, whilst flippant swaps could indicate the absence of a Demon yada yada… gamestate review it’s important! Even so, I sympathise with your plight.
