I gave my reasons and I didn’t find the argument about him not being any of the wolf types good
like if Hippo’s goblin it’s only +EV to claim if
- he’s going to get executed despite the claim (not happening)
- he knows he’s going to get executed if he doesn’t claim, but will get a townie exed instead if he does claim (requires both the first point and t!Mistyx)

What if the reason hippo was so infatuated with zug at the beginning of the game because he was shudninja and would give some light on whether zug was mario since hippo was looking for a mario

There wasn’t really a world you can build where he was demon that made logical sense
