In that school, yeah, but it was a Weird School. In public school class pets were rare. We did raise tortoises for a local wildlife initiative thing, and one teacher had cockroaches

People I tell online about it are usually slightly more receptive. Though they also go “Fucked up”. I tell a lot of mafia stories people ask me for mafia stories

We had a red-eared slider turtle someone found in the parking lot & two… some kind of lizard? & two parakeets & many smaller birds I forget what kind they were constantly having kids that people would take home & plants that we took turns watering & frogs at one point
