God I love cold showers. Can’t recommend cold showers highly enough

we live in a society

I’ve been meeting a variety of new people IRL cause of school starting soon. Like proper new people. Cause I live in a small town so it’s always been either people I’ve known my whole life or people I’m introduced by people I’ve known my whole life. It’s nice

i take cold showers in order to feel something

who are the fake new people

Like I am generally a little bit of a freak in quite a few ways & it’s easy to get in your own head about, like, oh maybe these people I meet would be commenting about it if they were not trying to be polite in front of their friends introducing me, maybe I am inside a bubble. And to some degree talking to other college students is still a kind of bubble. But it’s still complete strangers and it’s fine. The world is not sorted into people who already like me and those who never will.

i’ve burnt my fingertips multiple times

one was when i knocked a pan off the stove and instinctively tried to grab it

the other time was with a lighter

I’ll admit I once had a habit of dipping my fingers into hot candle wax when understimulated

what

Cold showers & forum mafia are a healthier outlet for that sort of instinct I think

Take candle, burn candle, candle wax melts. Candle wax inside candle. Liquid candle wax. Put fingers into liquid candle wax. Interesting stimulus. Hurts fingers due to burns but less unpleasant than boredom
