Cookie Thread Act 1: A Cookie in Time

you are off by roughly 700 posts

sh

i was wondering why the thread was so inactive so close to the cookie

I am always town

Its not that notable a town streak statistically except htese were my first games so I managed to build myself an extensive and specific town meta without ever having to learn how to wolf. BotC doesn’t count

anyway arete the thing about the one arjun game you’re thinking of is that none of the roles are interesting in a vacuum. it’s only interesting because it was a large game run by a man who clearly did not know how to run a large game in a circuit that was not used to large games

arjun is a man of interesting mechanics moreso than interesting roles most of the time anyway. like the time he made a game based around prediction markets. and the time where he did it again

the bot he was using crashed several times in both games

We don’t run many games, like one a month max, and the queue is like a year and a half long, so people usually don’t get too much bullshit with it

good old days

the second game was an interesting concept but not very functional as a game (mainly because it took a month to start so half the players forgot about it)

it didn’t help that he was just not there for a week. all he said was that he was in an airport so i’m assuming he was in that airport for the entire week

Fuck what if Arete gets the cookie

I think I’m out of interesting mechanical stories. There’s the social ones. We had someone say ā€œhey ideally to have the most fun what day would we want the game solved onā€ and people said like D5 or D6 and they came in that day like ā€œYeah I roleblocked two consecutive nightkills here’s the teamā€
