I am talking about the ones that matter in particular, which is a small subset of all majors
yah idk tbh lol, i just assume some more prestigious schools are gonna have better funding/professors
More talented professors, but like they are not better at teaching, they just are smarter. it doesnt translate a lot of the time
i mean theres a serious devaluing of degrees going on but calling a business degree āuselessā is crazy tbh cuz ppl with no experience and no degree are gonna struggle a lot more than ppl with a degree. its just not a guarantee of a job anymore
Is a 64 high? (since like it really depends on the class)
I assume itās low
Nothing is curved ever and I donāt talk to people in my classes so
true
Itās good for a B overall in the class which is shrug
Getting it by itself is legit worthless, especially if its ābuisnessā, the more specific a buisness major, the more useful it is
The more all encompassing and broad it is, the harder it is for anyone to justify hiring you since like wtf
Wait so like do you think the guy panicked cuz you did better?
Cuz like I personally only ever panic for somebody elseās grades if they are really low and I like them as a person
Nah. Itās a class heās not taking, Iām ahead of him. The guy panicked because he thinks I am smarter than him, and he thinks that if I am getting a B in this class, then surely he will do much worse, and then he will not get the 3.9 he needs for med school or whatever
i mean yah i agree that like a general business degree kinda doesnt do much vs any other degree, but even then lots of employers hire students for internships, and its not hard to get offers for business with a lot of networking (going to career fairs, expos, business events, networking nights). and at least with everyone ive talked to who does networking, makes it not that hard to immediately go into a good starter job
Itās not about my experience about anything itās just āoh god Iām going to fail because May failedā which is like. Very weird to hear from my end. Which is why I havenāt stopped talking about it
college is a really really good networking opportunity with a huge amount of resources. especially any business college worth their weight
I made it very explicitly clear that I work like far far less than he does. He works so goddamn much. I do not work
Idk but going to an event where the primary focus is networking is like always awkward. There needs to be some topic or its hella ded
idk not for me, i love chatting tho
