ive seen a no necrobumping rule on a lot of forums and i never understood its utility

idk if itâs an actual rule on fol or just built in to discourse. it makes sense for like⌠tech forums I guess? where technology is constantly updating etc. and for forums that care about recent news.
doesnt really make much sense particularly for a mafia forum but it might just be a built-in thing in the software cuz i know a lot of forums dislike it

should still make sense for tech, asking questions, troubleshooting. stuff update but u have to do maintenance for the old stuff too
i think the utility of the rule is âwe dont want old stuff on the front page since no one wants to talk about itâ
