when I was a kid (like, pre-high-school, they basically stopped doing this in high school and honestly kind of stopped in middle school) my parents restricted how much time I used the internet for, but basically didn’t restrict what I used it for

well I guess Mom did tell me that if I wanted to use FFN to find fanfic I needed to filter out stories that were rated Mature? but like she didn’t tell me not to go use FFN to find random stories

I remember growing up and mobile phones had just started to become a trend for teenagers. And really only if your parents had decent money. When I was young, it was mostly every kid carrying a gameboy around.

I bet it was hard for parents to really grasp kids having internet access 24/7

I used to play Call of Duty till 2-3am and my mom would scream at me whenever she heard me giving callouts

I gathered that it was like ao3

however i am extremely glad

they’d still shut it off if they could btw

I played so many videos games, that I would fall asleep in summer school, that I was forced to attend because I slept in regular school
