as for my tanghulu i wont try again most likely. i managed to coat 6 strawberries in sugar before my syrup burnt. i had the window time of like a minute, i dont understand how it happened so fast. the instant it turned amber i started coating them, i lowered the heat to minimum, i blinked and it turned brown and it was burning
the strawberries turned out fine, crunchy, very satisfying to eat. but mostly for the novelty of it. doesnt add that much to flavor, its just sugar. it also felt wasteful, that was a lot of sugar and dishes that need to be washed. although admittedly my ineptitude contributed to both, maybe someone more experienced can perform that better
anyway! not for me, but my potatoes were a W, im moving on to the next recipe to learn. maybe i’ll set a goal to learn a new recipe every week. i love cooking. so fun. i love when people feel happy when they eat my food too i feel so fulfilled
