Although their incorrect, because who is analyzing the other machine? If the other machine is worse than the original machine, and it tells us “Machine 1 sucks!” how do we know we could trust the analysis of machine 2?
What if we give them floaties
idk, “throw the woodchipper into the woodchipper and see if it produces results with predictive value” seems reasonable to try! obviously if it doesn’t work you should then say that it didn’t work, but like. sometimes tools that you personally find distasteful can still make useful predictions.
