yeah there isn’t really a scenario where i would need to write the multiplication sign right next to a variable x but the reasoning “it looks like a variable” wasn’t ever relevant because you can easily tell the difference if you write x like the algebraic symbol
I rarely see people write their x’s fancy
also it’s a lot of effort to change how I write a letter tbhtbthbthbthtb
i have realized that a lot of americans don’t do this though, from watching stuff online
we were taught to do it like that
I do write my f’s with the extra curl when it’s a function (and sometimes also when it’s in a word)
