Cookie Thread Act 9: i like origami

also for the israel, probably because of conflict + she was spamming ads on youtube

so realistically she probably gets like 100 votes, same goes for ukraine like every year nowadays, heavily inflated score due to politics

I ask what Israel has to gain from this even if they win. It’s literally a song contest, what more awareness could the government of Israel even want anymore

The song was kind of okay, it’s just the design is way too much

yeah same for us

voting this year was so fucking weird idk

i think austria deserved first. but like idk everything felt so weird

I just tried sun bleached tomatoes for a change. No wonder they’re not actively sold, they’re raisins except larger and taste worse.
Not that they taste bad. They just taste… bland.

quite!

i prefer short stories to long ones, and I’ve always found that a bit weird

i think i just prefer going from knowing nothing to ā€œeverythingā€ about a protagonist and ending it there.

same with talking to people

i can act as excited as eccentric as fun or however i want when they know so little about me, and i try to learn about them

but then i quickly draw energy-less, and i can only really act in one way

i’m pretty predictable, unfortunately

I honestly feel bad for y’all.

I liked One Milkali it’s so unfortunate the voice crack happened

Off of my checklist, ignoring politics which I do my best to do: Voice/technical: Pretty good, better than semis, but not outstanding like Denmark or Czechia or (obv) Austria. She can def sing though. Message: Clear and expressed. Staging: Okay. Songwriting: Could use some work. Second verse was lazy. Instrumentation did not fit-- the opening was cool but didn’t fit in, then inserting it again randomly made no sense. Bridge could’ve been built a bit better. Memorability: Pretty forgettable had Israel not run all those ads. In my watchparty they were often like, sorry what did Israel sound like again? I had the same feeling when I first heard it. Overall: Nice song, but… definitely not a top song.

Austria had always been on the top for me, but I think I’m a bit more jury minded and really appreciate technical stuff. We won’t get another JJ again, and I think while the hlyrics wwere probably the weakest part, I have nothing else to complain about.
