Yeah, it would be easier (both mentally and phisically), cause in that case you already have the mindset to kill someone.
But to kill on a moment for self defense… most people wouldn’t think killing beforehand.

impossible is impossible but i would have issues
I put “hard” but if my life was under immediate threat I would feel significantly closer to the “easily” side
that being said I can’t really imagine ending up in that scenario unless I am incredibly unlucky
especially because I would actively seek out every possible opportunity to de-escalate anything like that
so like it would be hard for me to end up in a scenario where I would need to make that choice, but if I did I’d be pretty damn sure I’d tried every other option possible first and so I don’t think I’d feel too bad about going to the truly last resort outcome
if that makes sense
I think the conclusion for me is if I needed to kill someone I could probably shut off my brain that would care about killing someone if I had time to properly think it out
