REAL omg i have the same problem i used to have bangs when i was [counts backwards on hands then promptly needs more] when i was maybe 7ish and i have never had them since i have always 1) used clips 2) pulled my hair back 3) wore a headband since and these mfers still get in my eyeballs

i mean I grant it’s easier than a tattoo but it feels like styling or clothes would prolly be even easier, no?

You get to express “I like controlling my appearance and also I like this colour” to other people. I know some of my friends, like, they’re more likely to approach somebody with dyed hair because it expresses a certain persona, it expresses being part of a Subculture. It expresses that you have blue hair and pronouns

Two of my friends became friends because one saw the other had dyed hair and was like “oh so you’re probably cool”
I don’t personally especially want to communicate this to random people and I also don’t really like the way dyed hair looks on me so I don’t do it
