that being said 90% of “buzzer races” are knowledge checks in disguise. you just also want to win the other 10%

best injury prevention advice I’ve ever received is to run barefoot 5-10 mins a week :skull:

it actually worked tho

just know more than them :brain:

most running I’ve done is prolly about 10 miles a day (to and from rowing practice twice a day) and I haven’t ever really been compelled to push further

just don’t play college qb!! :)

or you could just be a better player than them

or you could quit

It’s actually really really interesting I could yap about it for hours I’ve read a bunch of books and articles on it

Basically humans are evolved to be the best long distance runners on the planet, and it’s theorized that that’s how we used to hunt (by basically running animals to death)

And our feet are actually really well engineering to be shock absorbers, but the modern running shoe takes all of that away and forces us to run in a way that’s actually kinda inefficient

But if you practice running without shoes on, it helps your body get used to proper form because it automatically adjusted around how your feet are supposed to naturally land on the ground

And that idealized form prevents injuries because it helps you better absorb the shock from impact on the ground

or you can learn to win some bullshit buzzer races. this occasionally works

here’s the survey about hair color & parts of speech if anybody’s interested. Again you should really stop after the first ~8 ones unless you have strong opinions

I do not know half these parts of speech.
My seventh grade ELA teacher is crying.

I kept it to all the ones I know. Might not have been a good idea to keep in morpheme & neologism tbqh

I went to Montessori school where parts of speech are associated with colours and shapes
