is the search bar autofilling with a link to that post?
if so, delete that link from your history, and it should fix

this used to happen to me too, and also with sites like MU and a few other forums. If I ever shared a link, it would sometimes take me to that link next time I search for the site in my browser
i solved it by setting bookmarks to the main pages
Now it autofills with whatever the bookmark is
Or I just click the bookmark and I avoid typing at all
