Zone ran a game with a Gladiator and an anti-Gladiator a few years back. The anti-Gladiator was basically only used to turn off the Gladiator once used.
He absolutely could’ve made them different.

@ACE You think about mafia in a very different way from the rest of us, fitting with your different experience. The difference is this: the mafia are not the people who lie for no reason, and mafia lies about things orthogonal to the game are rare here.
I would not think to push somebody over going to a family Easter gathering far too late, as you mentioned in your last game, because I’ve never seen somebody making up an obligation out of whole cloth ever be a point of contention in a game. People have done it, but that’s not the kind of thing people pay attention to here, and people generally don’t really pay attention to activity excuses except for the fact that they exist. If you’re not active enough to read, you’ll get pushed about it regardless of excuse, you’re supposed to sub out if it’s a genuine emergency, otherwise people don’t really care.
Similarly, I would doubt Hippo made up this anti-gladiate. Both for Zone host meta reasons — Zone is a predictable host, this game needs a lot of abilities — and because I don’t see how this benefits w!Hippo to lie about. Why would he make up a restriction to an ability he was faking to mirror yours? Why would he even make an ability to fake to mirror yours when there’s a million other things he could lie about? A public fake ability! That isn’t that harmful to test!
I’d bet you 95:05 odds that Hippo actually has this ability, regardless of alignment.

This is silly. I could claim Ace is wolf because town would only ever use a gladiate in reasonable circumstances (actual thread consensus, genuine read). Somebody who thinks to use a gladiate this unreasonably is somebody who could do that regardless of alignment.

Okay but you can at least hedge your statements appropriately??? If you think that ACE’s ability can come from either town or mafia through WIFOM and there’s a concrete reason to do it as mafia why would you say she is always town???
