You think about mafia in a very different way from the rest of us, fitting with your different experience. The difference is this: the mafia are not the people who lie for no reason, and mafia lies about things orthogonal to the game are rare here.

I would not think to push somebody over going to a family Easter gathering far too late, as you mentioned in your last game, because I’ve never seen somebody making up an obligation out of whole cloth ever be a point of contention in a game. People have done it, but that’s not the kind of thing people pay attention to here, and people generally don’t really pay attention to activity excuses except for the fact that they exist. If you’re not active enough to read, you’ll get pushed about it regardless of excuse, you’re supposed to sub out if it’s a genuine emergency, otherwise people don’t really care.

If somebody is on a fundamentally different wavelength about mafia, they will play both wolf and town significantly differently from anybody else. ACE is playing in a way that is not explicable regardless of alignment, which is what that post refers to.

I have been repeatedly and continuously arguing that what ACE did is not “town clearing” for being weird, because it is not explicable by being a stubborn villager alone, it requires a mindset entirely outside normal play on this site.

People are being weird and lazy by towning her over it. It reminds me of how people often town w!Zone or w!Chomps.

Yeah because there’s so much for me to comment on right now except for multiple players just throwing their cards on the table and seeing what sticks >.>

I don’t know how it makes me feel about the slots, I just want people to have some amount of self restraint.

That’s what it seems to me which is… frustrating but it’s kinda like “Oooh I’ve got a shiny new toy so I’m just going to play with it” vibes. Which like, fair but also, strategy and foresight is useful here.
