The 2 claimed options to explain a lack of nightkill rn are:
1 - Mafia attempted to night kill Marl despite the fact Marl was widely townread and would’ve been protected or watched or anything, yet had no way of bypassing this despite doing the play, instead just allowing for confirmation
2 - Mafia attempted to night kill me, a 10 poster. Perhaps due to the fact that I had almost 0 chance of being protected at the time. But being such a low poster I am a viable mis-execution target.
And I thought of 1 more:
3 - The mafia just… no killed, banking on the fact that there would be a lookout or a watcher or something on Marl so they could claim to have done non-harmful / positive things and to be confirmed.
I disagree with this. It’s natural for you to question everything when your top scum-read flips town. Because it means that something went mega wrong. It’s not over-explaining
I’m becoming more confident on Kana being scum. It feels like they’re trying to portray Arturo in a negative light by nitpicking some of their messages, and honestly, some of them feel like a stretch. They’re also one of the heavy pushers on executing Bee. If Bee flips town, they’re like hardcore going to be my next push target. It’s odd that they speak like there’s no reality where Bee is town despite Peach being a tracker and not a lookout. Like, the odds for Bee being mafia are high but not 100%. Feels like mafia is like mega pushing for a free ML and then they’ll fall back on “oh well they just weren’t townie, so that’s why I pushed them”. Again, I’m not defending Bee directly, but to act like they are going to flip guaranteed scum seems like a mafia push tbh.
I’m also just getting emotional vibes that Kana is mafia. We have been mafia partners before during the last Invitational, and I remember telling Kana a lot about how I would react to certain things as scum, and I remember Kana telling me that she was able to tell that the messages I was sending were scummy. So it feels like Kana has a solid idea of my scum play is, but she is still homing in on the miscommunication we had earlier as a scum-read. Like even Arturo and I are reevaluating our claims of each other here. (I don’t think I’ve said it directly in thread until now. If I did, I forgot. My trust for Arturo has slightly gone up).
Jumping back to Kana’s accusation of me though. From T!Kana’s POV, how does our miscommunication earlier make me scum? Like, I’m sure it was a weird conversation, but what benefit would W!Merpy even get from telling Kana to use their vote differently? If Kana disagreed, which they did, they would just disregard the advise. Maybe there’s a bigger picture I’m not seeing.
@Kanave Can you explain why exactly you suspect me outside of it being a “dramatic reaction”? I have explained that the reaction was a result of me not seeing the whole message. I want to know why it makes me seem like scum in your eyes
Tbh, I’ve been thinking about this since I saw Kana pushing onto Bee and Arturo. I want to try and understand where Kana is coming from. It’s possible she is town and just sees something I don’t, but I’m not sure anymore

Either myself or Marl were attacked last night. Marl being the more towny one and active but I’d think mafia would know Marl would be protected / lookout’d or whatnot. And myself being the low poster who’s mechanically competent but wouldn’t be protected by others probably.
