Alright. Fröde, this one isn’t even that bad. Other people will die as direct result of your actions, of course, but at least they won’t be kept alive long enough to really feel it.

Best friend of yours across from them. If you said so, they’d get tortured for… six months. Well, I can’t go into detail like I had wanted, but everything they did wasn’t pretty. You gave the word… And they took your friend away. It’s been three months since. Three months of nonstop torture. I know you hope your friend’s dead long ago, but they aren’t that clumsy.
And now you want to live for them. Wouldn’t be much point not to. Other guy you got lined up with succumbed to pancreatic cancer a week after.

None of this would’ve happened if you just stopped.
But on you marched. Fought in the whatever battalion, I don’t really care. It was small. Four people. Then, the first time rolled around. Shot a guy dead cause he was walking at you with a shovel. Civilian. Well, turns out the village he came from didn’t like that. Confounds me. That’s sarcasm, if you can’t tell. Anyway, you killed them too. Gunfire attracted animals. So then you just had to kill them too. Squadmates said you looked a bit off the rails and relieved you for the day. And you did not like that.
Oh, but you didn’t kill them right there, didn’t you? You just realized if you stopped helping them whenever they called for you, they’ll all just fall apart. Slowly. The price they need to pay for messing with you. Then you dropped to three. Because you started a fight in the pub, and your friend paid for it, not before taking down one of them with him. Then you killed everybody there. Because you can’t let civilians get away with touching people they’re beneath.
Then you just kept going. Just because you could. But now we’re in charge, okay? Just keep that fighting spirit of yours and you’ll get out fine.
