It’s technically not OMGUS, she just probably doesn’t have better leads yet, and this is the easiest way to convince town she has an agenda (as either alligment), It’s literally null for her.
Once she pushes someone, who wasn’t talking about her, it gives a better picture about her alligment.

There is a slight bit of grace I’m willing to give to Jane on this topic and I will say that if I was miller and I could claim it, I probably just would? I feel like what Jane did only drew negative attention to themselves, like mafia’s goal is to get towncred off their claim so why repeat themselves and draw attention to the fact the slot said the same thing twice?
