Dear $STUDENT_NAME$,

The Events Announcement Team at Fortress of Lies University is pleased to invite you to the following event. Please see details below:

Word Match
Players: 8-16 (must be even number)
Chance of Death: None
Mobile-friendly: Yes
Duration: ~30 minutes - 1 hour.
Discord Access: Not Required
Other Notes: N/A

How to play:

  • You will be randomly paired with another player in the event
  • You will be given two random starting words. You then must try and choose a word based on both of those words, and match with your partner. If you submit two different words, you then must choose a new word based on those words, and so on, until you match.
  • At the end of each round, the worst performing 1/3 (rounded up) of teams who took the most matches will be eliminated. Tiebreaker will be whoever had the better past performance, or otherwise, a rand.
  • If you have not matched by your tenth turn (your starting words are your first turn), you are also eliminated.
  • Rounds may end early if a team is guaranteed to be eliminated.
  • The players in the winning pair will win a prize!

How to Join:

  • Post /in in this thread. Signups will close after 5 minutes, cut off to the closest even number if necessary.
