The only possibility I could see in good faith is that the kill was meant to be attached to a night visit, “you just kill the next person you interact with in the night”, but that’s not a treestump or town-worthy ability either way so.

i thought beancat posted this morning but ig i imagined it so i suppose ignore that point

still though it feels like a pretty bad play to knowingly claim an ability that is about to flip on a wolf role

the only real flaw i can find is that why did ranta not just wait for marshal to suicide and then be like im the reason marshal can talk

but i think this is answered by the fact that by the time marshal would have suicided, ita1 and maybe 2 would have been over where ranta was in talks of death lol

like if you’re right this was a huge coordination fumble by the wolf team

and that’s not off the table maybe im being a bit hasty about it

but i tend to assume competence of wolves when im solving mafia games and i dont see a reason to believe this is an exception

i think there are two options

one: it’s crazy to treestump marshal d3 when they’re likely a night kill target instead of a day kill (i guess day vig but it had been expended at that point).

two: it’s a huge coincidence for marshal to be treestumped the exact same day that they received a compulsive bomb
