blitz is mostly intuition and memorization. The only reason I can punch up against higher rated players in it is because I have an okay knack at spotting sacrifices and I play weird openings like anderssens reverse french and shit
you’re not calculating that in 5 mins and if you just play it out normally I know where to set up my pieces and you just kind of gotta wing it in reverse. It’s fun but it’s not actually good for getting better at chess by any means lol
