to me that actually points to it being more likely random, not player selected? if the player selecting chose ace and then it ended up not being ace the player would know something’s weird owo

Please note that the FoL Council is hosting an event today.
Oh no! We accidentally merged two different databases storing images from Earth, and now there are AI images masquerading as real ones! We need your help to distinguish the AI images from the real ones, so that we can be certain our knowledge of Earth is as accurate as possible.
You are invited to participate in:
Real or AI?
Players: up to 8

- You will be shown a series of images, one by one. For each image, you must privately (in your role PM) guess whether it is “real” or “AI”. The player with the most correct guesses is the winner.
- The real images include a mix of images taken by the hosts and images sourced from the internet. Date filtering was used to ensure that we did not accidentally label AI images as real. However, the internet-sourced images may have been edited in various ways (we did not intentionally pick images that had obviously been edited).
- The only editing applied to the AI images was cropping, primarily to remove AI watermarks (but not to remove other features that would indicate the images were AI-generated). (Iterating on a prompt is not considered to be editing for these purposes.) We also cropped some of the real images (a) to remove personal information and (b) to ensure that you can’t just get the right answer based on the aspect ratio.
- There is at least 1 real image and at least 1 AI image.
- Research is NOT allowed. In addition, despite the theme of the event, you may not use AI to try to detect whether an image was created by AI.
How to join:
- Type /in in the game thread and ping @FAMHost. Sign-ups will close in 10 minutes, or when full.
Reminder: You may not talk or hint about any ongoing events in any non-event chat, public or private, apart from your role PM.
