costs 3 charges to place a mark
if ephemera chose, 5 additional charges could be consumed to instantly kill the player

so it would be 8 charges to kill in 1 night or 6 charges to kill in 2 nights

  • day 1 brad died, so n1 ephemera had 8 charges
  • letā€™s assume ephemera was telling the truth about their actions because Iā€™m lazy & kp so far lines up fine
  • so suppose n1 ephemera consumed 3 charges to mark a player (nutella) because they werenā€™t in immediate danger of dying & taking it slow
  • n1 ends with 8-3=5 charges
  • no mafia died n1
  • on day 2, 5 mafia died, so ephemera gained 5 charges, so son2, they had 5+5=10 charges
  • letā€™s continue assuming they took it slow and marked another player (sherlock) without killing them: 10-3=7 charges left
  • 1 mafia died n2; n2 ends with 7+1=8 charges
  • on day 3, 4 mafia died. charges = 8+4=12 charges
  • n3 ephemera probably did doublemark someone which consumes 8 charges: 12-8=4 charges end of night
  • d4 we killed 3 mafia, so 4+3=7 charges end of night
  • n4 ephemera doublemarks another player which consumes 8ā€¦which is not enough charges

so either ephemera lied about a target previously marked & just marked them again at some point or they only killed one player last night?

Ranta Lucid Chomps would be my direct POE. If I had to guess at this point itā€™s probably Ranta. Lucid and chomps have roles that seem plausible for a town to have

I donā€™t think itā€™s impossible for Rantaā€™s role to be town buts like less likely?

Iā€™m not really judging social interactions atm, everyone who is still alive is socially towny at this point (even Ranta in her own way)
