the hosts agreed to do a certain thing at a certain time at a certain level, and going above that certain thing, while nice, isn’t something to be pushed for if the person said they won’t
The analytics really didn’t like me having any combo but the one I put in
I considered putting myself in as a counter to arctic but I was super weak against too many of the rest of ur mons
I would like to request a rephrase of this, because I can’t comprehend it.
Oh, you meant that the Losers Bracket wasn’t plan of the original advertisement.
Okay, yeah. Fair enough.
when you do these analytics do you consider every possible move? ash was doing the same last game, and i mentioned that i did think every possible move will lead to “corrupted” data, since a lot of moves arent sensible. and same for drafting. i think. not that i know how to prune that “bad data” away. im just curious :P
That’s just madness. And that’s coming from me, the Mad Scientist archetype character.
agreed
Kinda?
You can’t do minimax because it kills the speed, so you basically just code in a set of routines (Protect in these circumstances, switch in these circumstances, etc) and alter your decisions accordingly.
And when combined with the choice rule, the optionality is small enough that you can get away with it.
no, my analytics was in this case based on what was the strongest move a mon could do to another mon.
I averaged the totals for how much each mon could do to each other mon on the team, and how much it’d recieve, and then put the averages together to give a “score” to each one. pretty basic but gave me a good idea.
fwiw, me and benguined should’ve been in over ishmael/willow if I predicted tutuu’s team, I just didn’t think he’d go with that team, I went for the best common denominator team
Ah… Heuristics. I am… not good at calculating things with those. Especially since the effectiveness of the numbers are subjective and unreliable. Meanwhile, reliable and objective numbers require so much data that it simply is not worth the time and energy.
TL;DR I just use gut feeling and try to get into RNG positions.
(Does this mean I am Marshal 2.0?)
((No…? Because we don’t use the data.))

Chat, I’m getting old and weary.
I’ll process actions in the morning.
I guess I just overpredicted, lol.
