orange:

wazza uses smug attack on arete
zone uses smug attack on arete

youbie:

sulit, come back! jarek, i choose you!
arete uses gay attack on wazza

sulit switches out for jarek (btw switching out is first priority, im assuming you all know since thats how it works in pokemon)
wazza moves next and deals 60 to arete

zone and arete both started at 100 so they tie

1 - arete moves first. 2 - zone moves first

i already pinged her earlier, shes asleep heheh :stuck_out_tongue:

tutuu, I know this game is based on PokĂ©mon, but did you mis-write the rules (by saying “+N% damage” instead of “multiply damage by Nx”) or is there some sort of unwritten OoO for damage modifiers?

when you multiply a bunch of numbers the ordering doesnt matter so the math should all even itself out, no? :stuck_out_tongue:

i did say “100% damage increase” instead of “+100% damage” :stuck_out_tongue:

See, the thing is: When other elements are involved (e.g. STAB), “an increase of 100%” does not equal “multiplied by two”.

30 base damage
+50% STAB
+100% type bonus
= 30 + 15 + 30
= 75

30 base damage
x1.5 STAB
x2.0 type bonus
= 30 x 3.0
= 90

Sure. Let’s go with that.
It’s a misc. anyway, so misleading information on the OP is non-punishable.

To be fair, the way Tutuu is running this is intended to be the same as Pokemon, so most players would understand the interaction.

Don’t. Just don’t.
I can open a can of worms with this “intent versus written” nonsense.
Let’s end the conversation here.

why doe?

well i suppose its not explicitly clear that the type bonus and stab bonus are multiplicative with each other rather than additive to the base damage. but yeah i did say its basically the same as pokemon :P

wait they already used their smug attack, can they use it again?

i thought they couldnt use the smug attack again until they switched out
