The reason I kept voting for a blank-slate slot is the fact that it is the only way to get information on a person who isn’t posting. If somebody reacts strangely to the vote, I can tie their alignment to Relm’s, turning the slot from literally nothing to somebody I have conditionals on. It also means the blank-slot player has to come back to defend themselves if they’re lurking for whatever reason, which is nice.

so when i told u that this was uncommon for any alignment relm? unlike people on FoL who may hate wolfing or be allergic to posting in general, Relm is not one, they are a good player that puts almost too much attention into their games, just like you do. I dont know what happened this game, but I can still promise u, their alignment has nothing to do wiith it

Also, I like seeing reactions to blank-slot votes just for the sake of evaluating alignments: wolves can tend to be weird about them, often going unusually hard on defending them because it’s not very dangerous, who gives a shit if you give towncred to a player who isn’t pushing reads, or sometimes jumping on the vote unnaturally because then the player you’re voting won’t threaten you.

well I think on average, people are gunna say, “ya im not voting a nothing slot”, especially in a game this large where people were jumping around a large poe of people

The first time I placed a vote for Relm, she was hardly the only nothingburger around, and I’d forgotten she had given slank cover for the rest of the day. I was thinking it was pretty wolfy that she just wasn’t coming back, I’ve seen people basically give up as wolf more than town that way. I swapped pretty quickly once I saw she’d always intended to be gone for that long.

ur right, but im assuming u hyper focused on them because u dont know them. Its not wrong for thinking this for what its worth, its just a bad metric of which u remember a lot because so many people dont enjoy playing 50% of this game, and while u may have believed everyone was “townie”, i didnt

The second time, I had a reason not to vote everybody else in the game and was placing my vote there temporarily while I evaluated the validity of those reasons. I never intended to keep it through to the end of the day. You can tell because I didn’t.

I have been fine with May most of the game, this is only a matter of covering my bases because May doesnt have any micro town reasons that I think are really good for them.

Plus in worlds where catbae is a wolf I don’t really think that wolf May and wolf catbae both try to jumpstart my wagon, it makes more sense for wolf!catbae to follow villagers onto my wagon.

u are definitely better with these kind of thoughts than me, its really hard for me to derive any conclusion from a thought like this, without some deeper context

Last time I remember playing with Relm (Discord invitational from Luka) she slanked nearly as much

I’ve had several times when voting nothing-slots has helped me solve significantly. I think I’m used to playing with worse wolves than you are, which is probably part of it – on the Discord server where I started out, you could reliably vote a nothing slot and all hteir wolfbuddies would jump on it because nobody knew how to manage TMI and everybody was addicted to bussing

my first experience with Hydragon, dont recommend, aka melody, nothing burger, that wolves try to murder repeatably, and we basically psuedo cleared them because we killed one of those wolves pushing them, they still got executed because their iso was pretty awful

Tutuu was also there, which is why I was more comfortable with their playstyle this game

Yeah, here the usual thing is that wolves make a (mental) list of players who are Executable, and the nothingburger slots are on that list, and when they see a vote start on an Executable slot thei rbrain lights up and they join
