If the wolves planned to bus Hippo, then there would never have been an attempted CFD to carbonated.
Eve being a wolf is the only way EoD 1 makes sense. She tried very hard to save Hippo. Then she suddenly switched to him at the last second. You don’t do that if you’re a villager. A villager wouldn’t have switched gheir vote to Hippo like that at the very least.
Sometimes solves are just obvious to everyone.

If you want to convince yourself soweli is town, read through how she handles hippo’s mason claim. She’s convinced hippo’s partner might be me, willow, or eve. That doesn’t come from w!soweli who has tmi that hippo is fakeclaiming mason

Compiling lilith’s arguments for saving hippo (this is pretty much all of them give or take some wordingG):
this is bog-standard logic, the wolf-siding is in choosing to apply it here; hanging somebody else leads to a stagnant and/or quickhammered d2 & possibly gives mafia another chance to miselim. If Eve is wolf, she is either trying to save hippo, or trying to look towny by not bussing him. Second is a lot trickier but you know I’ve been townreading Eve I’ve been high-motivation, I am generally sensible enough to guess that hippo was bussed, i have decent threadpull, it’s not too hard to predict. Probably just not worth it in most scenarios but it is an option. technically.
However then we look at the circumstances and it does not seem likely that Eve would have high hopes of saving Hippo here? Things are not looking good for hippo as noted earlier & it’s a lot easier to just go ‘lol mason claim’ and keep going. (It’s also worth noting there is a very feasible town ‘i have seen stupider things happen, hanging v!hippo is so avoidable’ logic here but w!eve is relying on that paranoia as well so it’s not towny but not wolfy). I think the town perspective is so viable here even if not necessarily moreso than a wolf one that I forgive the wolfsiding in a vaccuum.
& the turn-around (kinda)

In this post Eve players the role of the eagle to 36501’s dodent but lethargic about it; i’m slightly hesitant towards townreading this after the kiiruma thing but there is really something to the “this doesn’t seem like it’s true but it would be awesome if it was (because i wouldn’t have to do anything)” if eve’s wolf this is probably a read it’s used to making. I also think the melatonin townread is very good particularly with the juke out of the shade earlier.
