i feel pretty comfortable on town snow rn. stuff like this feels genuine in that given their position theyre more predisposed to being cautious as mafia here and curious as town i feel

unless beancat hippo and carbon are all wolf and beancat actually was planning to corroborate hippo, i would rather vote a late hippo voter than carbon. why would you vote out your own teammate when you’re mafia goon and aren’t gonna live past day 2

Oh, I didn’t take into the account the timing on his claim. Because, yes that was my point, you wouldn’t claim partners with someone unless they’re also mafia and can support your claim
But if he knew the other person wouldn’t have time to deny being partners with him, that makes more sense
In a world where Hippo wanted to survive with mason claim, I thought it would be more logical to claim partners with another mafia. But having thought more, I don’t think it’s definite that beancat is also mafia, given they were given no time to deny their claim

The other meaningful analysis I can do here, is to look into non-voters or late voters on Hippo, which… coincidentally includes me. It will take me some time to be more confident on social reads outside of obvious vote analysis like that.

in someone’s first game of forum mafia, not knowing what’s going on, being “pure”, saying stuff that sounds naive, these are all things which are very easy to achieve! you don’t know what’s going on!
these are also things that naturally make people more trusting of you, because they confuse the sort of real-life sense of “this person genuinely doesn’t know what’s happening, so they’re probably telling the truth” for an in-game “well this person can’t be scum, they’re so inexperienced”, which makes no sense.
a lot of new mafia players also happen to be terrible liars outside mafia, just because they haven’t practiced it much, and are thus easy to catch out as wolf. and snow gains a few points for it. but snow doesn’t seem like a terrible liar.
