oh yeah i agree with you 100%, i have seen scum claim any sort of role to get heat off them. i had a mafia i ran up in a game last year claim friendly neighbor and then town somehow did not exe them on day 2 when they did not confirm themselves to anyone. it’s not out of the realm of possibility. i just. am weighing risk vs reward i guess?

This is terrible. Catbae might be a wolf. Hippo is clearly mafia. There is no reason to arbitrarily give a mason claim a day and disregard how wolfy it is. By this logic every mafia member on the chopping block can claim mason and make us execute a villager before they die, if we choose to follow some dogmatic rule. That means mafia gets 3 misexecutions by default, before we can even play the video game, simply by this dogmatic rule. This is NOT mechanically proper do not listen to catbae
