if you’re going over it is in fact optimal to claim your mason partner bc then theyre basically an IC. but that does also basically condemn your partner to death the next night
There’s likely doc type roles and unless you do, you’ll die. Claimed masons live a lot longer around here than you might think.

If Hippo was town mason he knew he can’t be exed, he would be confirmed town from game start
If Hippo was town mason he would claim partner in order to not waste the execution, and partner would have confirmed
