I abandoned D1 tunnel on 36501/Willow (I am waiting for astounding ‘told you so’ post-game) and moved on to spiritually suspect Snow

i would like to test jason and soweli’s judgement although i think both are probably actually town because if they were wolf and being townread this hard they wouldn’t need to blow hours of their day backreading tutuu’s other games and making spreadsheets

I think for today’s vote candidates:

• I’m not voting any of the six towniest players we have mostly agreed upon

• I am less inclined to vote Frost as he did not visit anyone on N1. 36501’s suspicion of Frost was well-telegraphed, and w!Frost could have easily deduced that she was tracker due to reporting a real result and moved to kill her in order to create a positive-EV flip.

• I am less inclined to vote Frog due to his EOD2. I think Tutuu was very clear on his intent to come back and vote Snow, so the fact that the vote was likely to end up tied once he self-pressed should not have come as a surprise to wolves. He seemed very genuinely too busy working on a solve to look at the game clock.

• Kiiruma moves up maybe one spot for me due to the VT narrative lining up and the plausibility of him baiting a rolecop. The story lines up here.

• I think it makes more sense to flip someone else (e.g. Willow) to learn about Jason than the inverse, so I don’t really want to vote him today

This leaves me with a POE of [Melatonin, Willow, Chomps, Kiiruma] — three of these are claimed VTs, one of these (Willow) is unknown

Yeah it’s basically what you said, except I was more reluctant to vote tutuu than you think. Yes i remember gummy getting on me in previous games for not listening to her townreading people at eods and i decided to take a leap of faith here, which didn’t end up working out

It’s a less common thing, but at least the game becomes more interested when one of the trusted roles are secretly ‘deep wolf’

The strongest towncase for Melatonin right now involves being a hydra, which is kind of why I don’t like hydras! There is built-in off thread discussion that is very easy to hide behind and it adds a new element to gameplay no one else can take advantage of

otherwise I guess my best explanation is along the lines of “dia has been a driving force between pushing out mafia on their mech claims & widely townread,” which actually sounds compelling when I think of it like that I guess. but yeah dia do you have insights?

It’s also quite possible that due to my not correcting people when they ran with me being ascetic and not untargetable, they figured I was a free kill that could not be watched or protected from.
