I’m not sure I’ve ever seen you use gamestate or threadspew reads so it could be a playstyle thing. I make way more mistakes when I go with my own reads on individual slots and just ignore what the rest of the thread is doing on a macro level; I can see maybe a very perceptive player just relying on being able to find slots town but like what do you do in games like this then when a large % of slots are not actively making themselves findable?
Scum distancing: I’m not used to seeing crazy unreasoned theater pushes on D1 from scum partners at all. If that’s something you’ve seen enough to screen for directly then you probably have more of a sense for that than I do.
To explain: towny pleading is when I do it coz i got misexed in last 2 or 3 town games. Not when the burguoise do it (who dont get misexed)
It is. The flowchart was a horrible meme which I’m glad for the most part has become irrelevant. It is something which I hate seeing mentioned because then I remember back to ‘Oh I’m getting killed quickly again because flowchart for win’
Okay, I can see that. Yes my PoV is that so many different slots expressed a willingness to vote Dia and Frog that unless anything major happened between now and EoD that we can just assume one or both of us will be piled on.

Yes I am consistently mislimmed D1/D2. Over the last several years on D1 especially I’ve been mislimmed dozens of times and not a single one of those towns who did that managed to go on to win the game. I agree it’s not hard for a scum to pile on and they sometimes choose to but not always. I’ve had more than one game recently with like 7-9 town slots pushing me and 2 slots defending me and they were both scum.
One thing I wanted to point out about Hippo is that the variation in their scum range could be caused by scum burnout.

i use some gamestate reads but i tend to find them unreliable in the face of bizarre teams which happen on fol all the time. half the game isn’t playing, so what does the active half of the game not especially treating them as partner do? like you can’t say “1/3 of players showed vaguely unpartnered behavior therefore not wolf”

i find reading on “threadstate” alone tends to obfuscate the reads on individual behavior in a misleading way
“x wouldn’t bus y in this threadstate” works, “x isn’t wolf because threadstate” is usually unreliable imo
just kill ppl who aren’t towny and whose removal makes the game easier
