Grande Idea - Endgame - Mafia wins

Thanks for the post, i suppose in the moment i was thinking about what i perceived to be meow’s town meta on qbcord but evidently she isn’t as polarized as i thought

Also a good reminder for myself that meta isn’t the end-all be-all and people need to be read for their thoughts and not whether they’re playing like their past selves

I wasn’t sure why you were townreading me that hard (and I said this a lot also oops).

I think I came off as townier than usual bc I didn’t have to make any pushes beyond trying to defend myself. but I always assumed I was going to die since I was thunderdoming with willow, so maybe my resignation came off as towny. also while I like watching town implode as mafia, there wasn’t much I could do when I was directly involved d2 and then had to keep it up for d3+

also there is a lot more to work off of/post about in 48 hour day I think vs qbcord, and people are more likely to be only discussing game info, and I think everything was novel enough that I could muster enough genuine emotion/reactions for it (conflated with towniness?)

It’s hard to list off the top of my head. I don’t have a hard list that I check every day, I have knowlege over the course of playing that pops up into my head when it’s relevant. A lot of time I play with people I cannot read well or understand well and in order to solve those people I rely on either figuring it out myself or reading the posts of players who have played with them. I need to be able to evaluate whether those reasons are actually good reasons, if you read my games you will notice I’ll look at the read list of good players who were active itg and ask myself whether it’s correct before I even bother reading most of those players myself, so I’ll list a couple I can think of. I think it’s hard to consistently push a wolf agenda while at the same time feigning accurately solving players. You cannot cross off every town you meet and push mafia hard and expect to win as mafia. Reading someone as town off vibes if done in certain ways can be very helpful, someone reacting in ways you usually associate with a town whose plan of posting and being town read being thrown off chart by suspicion going onto them with the way their reads start to change, the way people react, whether their reads are changing or staying the course even after an execution, being stubborn about something, etc.

I don’t like wall posting in a game I wasn’t even in as though I’m educating the players who just lost I just got hyperfocused on the fact that meow play was very interesting to me and now everyone must know why it’s interesting to me or I’ll die

half the reason I made the account was bc gummy? threatened to take if if I didn’t

While ordinarily mild-mannered, gummy derives much enjoyment from threatening to steal peoples’ usernames. For this habit, she has earned the moniker “Rudemmy,” so that those unaware may be warned of her behavior.
