It’s hard b/c I’ve been wolfreading Ash for a bit now because I think the way he keeps referencing being ‘tunnelled’ is something I see basically exclusively from w!Ash. Like in the game he played on Nintendo Loop I saw it a ton, he kept going “oh I’m so tunnelled” in a self-aware way to push agenda, while every time I’ve seen v!Ash it’s been ohhhhh I don’t know my reads are cuatious I’m not really sure. And if I were going purely by htat metric I’d say 100% this is a wolf Ash game
HOWEVER I did talk to carbonated yesterday and she mentioned that she wouldn’t use that metric and that Ash had a game on Quizbowlcord recently where he passionately utnnelled a miller cop and I also remember the last game I played where I wolfed against him on there he was also fairly showy in his plays, weird hypocheck. Which isn’t quite “confidence in tunnelled reads” but it’s nonetheless a display of different gameplay style that I think is worth taking into account here.
Ultimately, like, it would be very easy for me to sit here and say “Ash has strong opinions, Ash is a wolf”, and that’s what I’ve been on in Litten’s DMs about for a bit now, but it’s like… it’s very possible this is just Ash’s towngame progressing in terms of confidence, and with the way the reaction test worked out I’m starting to feel hesitant about the read. I also said this last time Ash was wolfing against me, I was like “this is w!Ash or Ash has gotten better at the game”. And strategically IDK if pushing us as the “tunnel misexecution” is the best bet? I think the Hippo interactions look paired, I agree with Litten there, but. IDK. I think what I want to do is look at somebody else right now
