By the way, can Amnesiac have a custom ability, or does it have to be from another character in any BotC (i.e., incl. characters not in the setup)?
The story tellers create the ability. It’s whatever tbey want it to be

I’ve seen amne be “If all amnesiacs choose all other amnesiacs, they may choose a player (once) and learn their character [+2 amnesiacs]”
I’ve also seen “On your first night you learn 3 players of different character types”

The way you’ve talked about your role is really vague and doesn’t really paint the full picture of what I think an actual Amnesiac would be thinking about and giving information about. Guessing your exact ability D1 is, like, notable! It’s a thing I’d expect someone to mention rather than just saying “oh BTW my ability is XYZ”
