Good post may. I definetely dont know what im doing or how to fully play this. All the more reason why putting me into worlds where im newb masterminding here are pretty preposterous. Id seems in poor faith is my concern.

Part of the process of considering all mechanically possible worlds is, well, considering all mechanically possible worlds. My process for Blood on the Clocktower (and Litten’s) usually involves going through and figuring out every possible person who could be the Demon, which usually gives you a few distinct worlds which you then use socials to weigh the relative probabilities of.
I don’t especially think you’re the No Dashii. I think you’re probably Good, because I think the most likely Demon by far here is Ash. However, I am still obligated to consider the world in which you are so that my solving is thorough and I don’t accidentally eliminate a world that’s still possible: it’s still useful to know this possibility mechanically exists in order to 1. argue more effectively for the worlds which I think do exist (if we say “the only possible Demon other than X is Y, which doesn’t make any sense socially”, that’s a stronger argument than just “I think X is Demon”) 2. use role actions more effectively (for example, using a Fortune Teller to check unlikely-but-possible Demon candidates to get a “no”, which is often more effective than getting a “yes” because it can’t be messed with by a red herring) 3. have good awareness in case more socially likely worlds are somehow eliminated, because unexpected things happen in FM all the time.
The expectation you’re making here is that we just pretend you aren’t ever mechanically a Demon candidate because you’re a good boy who’s new to the game. That’s just not, like, reasonable. This isn’t FM, it’s a puzzle, I need to consider every possible answer to the puzzle. I want to win the game. I’m going to consider everyhting I need to in order to win the game.

Sorry for going off on this I just get frustrated when people take it as “preposterous” and wolfy that I build worlds where they’re evil when that’s a necessary part of the solving process. If I thought you were evil right now I’d be voting for you. I’m not voting for you. I’m voting for the person who I think will end the game upon being Thoughtcrime doesn’t exist, enforcing thoughtcrime rules is anti-town, especially in a mech puzzle game like BotC.
I just finished a forum mafia game where people called me outed for wolfreading the uncontested PR claim because “that’s outing, you shouldn’t even be considering such a ridiculous world”. Believe it or not, the uncontested PR claim was a wolf. Theorising improbable worlds is still useful!!!

They said they were “covering” for the real PR (who was being fairly obvious but trying to hide it), they were doing a play where they pretended to be fakeclaiming as town
