your name does ring a bit of a bell glad to see you
hi! there is 0% chance you would have met me but you seem like a cool person welcome back
So many people with names that I remember! I didnât expect to meet some of you ever again. There are still a few more names I remember clearly from back then that I wonder if they are still here. Out of the top of my head: nerbins, memesky, marluxion, mathblade, Firekitten. Do any of those names sound familiar to anyone? Im sure there were way more people I knew back then but its been 10 years so sadly my memory is a bit fuzzy.
ooh yeah I know orange and black! the name didnt ring a bell but the pfp does
Firekitten (@Litten/@Kyubey) is still around! @Marluxion used to be around fairly often but hasnât been in a while, a couple of the others have shown up briefly.
I remember them all.
How do I not know you?
Your name does ring a bell for me, so maybe we did know each other. I donât blame you if my name doesnât ring a bell, last time I was online was like 7 years ago, and I wasnt that active then, I was most active on like 2017-2018 I think.
If it helps, my pfp back then was Johnny Joestar from Steel Ball Run.
I vaguely remember that. Mine wouldâve been an Admiral Mudkip.

After looking through the archive, I found other setups of mine. Another popular one was Golden Dragon, which was based on the normal FoL setup back then but with new classes and factions, thatâs the one I vaguely remembered with the Lizardmen enemies. Another experimental one that I only hosted once was Day One Mafia, which was a weird setup where everyone was trapped in a time loop. If you havenât heard of Neutral Showdown, it was basically a free for all setup where people made their own alliances and stuff, but few people remember how it was born. It was born as a bastard setup (are they still called that?) where people were tricked into thinking they were playing a normal FoL game but everyone was secretly a Neutral Killer. Seeing that game develop was probably one of the most fun times I had back then, watching everyone pretend they were Town when everyone was actually a neutral killer. And the reactions of people when they found out were priceless. Ah good times.
Btw I vaguely remember someone hosted a game back then where people were forced to write in haikus. Does anyone remember that? I donât remember who hosted it.
Man⌠I have conflicting feelings. As a setup designer myself, I would love to inherit your setups, but I feel like the type of games I host are not getting enough players nowadays.
âŚI would love to talk about setups though! I want to show you the stuff that I kept making when I was more active in designing setups.
I havenât run a FoL in a while, and I recall that balancing them was actually quite a task. Meanwhile there was me who had run it once in my homesite in 2020, and never more ever since.
Nowadays I donât think Iâm qualified to run a FoL, considering the amount of balancing required for a semi-open setup.
As for bastard games, yes they are still called bastard games, though we eventually made a boundary as to what is and isnât (too) bastard and the concept that was once âsemi-bastardâ got renamed to âexperimentalâ.
Ah. That would probably be @Osieorb18.
He left because he has disagreements with this communityâs level of tolerance, but heâs still doing well last time I checked up on Discord.
Iâve heard of your name, but I donât think weâve ever interacted to my knowledge.
Im down to talking about setups whenever! Though keep in mind I havent designed or hosted a setup in almost a decade so I may be a bit rusty.
