The ice cream shop had successfully found and removed the Skrim-flavored ice cream, which happened to be poisoned, and crucially they also reduced Kirby to a ghost who could no longer do any damage. That said, they had sworn to not rest until everything was clean, and the stress was getting to them.

Also, Kirby relentlessly* beamed cat pictures into everyone’s minds as a distraction, but was it enough?
