Anyway IMO people just need to get the basic “changing your mind and responding to situations” thing down which you can only do if you’re non-bottom. Nobody was able to even take “why hasn’t Zug died” as a piece of evidence even though it was obvious. Like you just need fo be open to that

though to be fair I think for the most part, there are decent reasons I didn’t die each night
admittedly they’re maybe less plausible when taken together though

  • n1: May was more accurate
  • n2: I got roleblocked and wolves were afraid of protectives
  • n3: uhhhhh ok this one is sketchy but wolves… were either afraid of protectives or correctly assumed I was out of charges, or just thought tutuu was a larger threat socially
  • n4: Creature was mech clear
  • n5: wolves no-killed
  • n6: Derps was mech clear (kinda)

I think the big jumps on getting better at being town are locked behind “understanding how mafia members think and recognizing those patterns”, which is just something you learn from experience.

the thing is that most people don’t ever actually put real effort into honing that skill in any real manner

like it’s easy to keep playing more games and say you’ll learn from them but at the end of the day that strategy doesn’t work in literally anything else ever so why would it here

fast improvement can only really come through concerted effort - ie, studying

and nobody other than ellibereth has ever even attempted to begin any kind of directed study material so you’re having to write your own course

ie if people want to be newcomb 2 you really need to not just listen to what he says and try to apply it, but spend actual time as a newcomb apprentice learning to think the way he thinks

but like nobody ever does that so you see so few cases of rapid improvement
